Key Responsibilities 

As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in assisting with the growth of our European power systems engineering team. You’ll support a range of renewable energy projects across solar, wind, BESS, and hydro as well as traditional generation and industrial power systems providing expertise in power system studies and grid connection processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Project Execution: Deliver power system studies for European clients, from connection feasibility studies for developers to in-depth analyses for ISOs/utilities. 

• Technical Expertise: Oversee or perform power flow analysis, short circuit analysis, transient stability analysis, insulation coordination, harmonics studies, and more. 

• Project Management: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to an exceptional standard.  

• Business Development: Establish client relationships, identify opportunities for future projects, and contribute to the development of new business areas in Europe. 

• Knowledge Sharing: Act as a technical mentor, contributing to industry forums and presenting at conferences to represent Vysus Group’s expertise in power systems. 

What You Bring: 

To succeed in this role, you should have: 

• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (master's or Ph.D. preferred). 

• Experience: 5+ years in power system studies, with expertise in renewables, HVDC, FACTS, and inverter-based generation control systems. 

• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in power system simulation tools (PSSE, PSCAD), Python scripting, and familiarity with additional tools (PSLF, ETAP, SINCAL, MATLAB, DIgSILENT). 

• Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and strong presentation abilities. 

• Client Management: Ability to build and manage client relationships, address challenging situations, and explain technical solutions effectively.
